The need to know what to do is always the most important matter.

1. What is the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board WSIB?

It is the regulatory agency charged with administration of Workers' claims, payment of benefits, and collection of premiums from employers. If you are a Schedule 1 Employer, see the WSIB website (in our Links section). You have an obligation to register with the WSIB as an Employer if you employ Workers.

2. If a Worker is injured in the course of his employment and there is a nexus between his or her employment and injury, you have an obligation to file a Form 7 within seven working days

3. You as an employer have an obligation to provide modified work to a Worker who is only partially disabled. This requires that you give to the Worker a Functional Abilities Form (FAF) to take to his or her doctor, for the doctor to complete at your cost.
